Train the Trainer Program

Our "Train the Trainer" program is available to skilled baseball players that are 15 years old. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals to take a leadership role and gain the confidence necessary to be a future counselor. The program concentrates on leadership training, team building and personal growth. Outstanding TRAINERS may be selected to return to Red Eye Pro Baseball Camps, as a staff in the future! Also, this is a great way to gain community hours,

To apply for a 2010 position at our Camps, please complete the following steps by May 1, 2010:
  1. "TRAIN the TRAINER" Registration From
  2. Letter of Baseball Knowledge letter
  3. References: Two references and contact information. (one baseball and one non baseball reference)

Please complete the "TRAIN the TRAINER" form and the Letter of baseball knowledge explaining why you want to be part of the 'TRAIN the TRAINER' program and what qualities you exhibit that will make you a successful counselor for Red Eye Pro Baseball, in the future.

The selection of "TRAINERS" will be based on a first-come, first-served basis plus evaluation by camp directors. Evaluations will be carried out on May 17, 2010. Time and location is TBA

Expectations and Conduct
"TRAINERS" are expected to exhibit high standards of personal conduct. "TRAINERS" must understand that their responsibility is to serve the needs of the camp program and in addition to being ROLE MODELS for the campers. RED EYE PRO BASEBALL will not tolerate any behaviour that will belittle, embarrass, or hurt a camper physically or emotionally. "TRAINERS" not meeting camp standards will be disciplined accordingly and will not be hired as a counselor in the future.

How we monitor our "TRAINERS"
Performance evaluations will be used to provide feedback to the "TRAINERS" on how they are performing their duties. The goal is to set clear expectations, create opportunities improvement, and provide the camp with the tools necessary to evaluate the "TRAINERS" for future employment. The directors will carry out all performance evaluations.

"TRAINER" Responsibilities
TRAINERS are responsible for assisting counselors in carrying out various drills, instructing Skill Groups at certain stations, and setting up the stations each morning and afternoon.
